"During my presidency, there was and will be no pardon for pedophiles, it was the same in this case," stated the President of the Republic, who spoke to ATV about the pardon decision he made. Katalin Novák stressed: I am disgusted by pedophilia, I consider it one of the most disgusting and serious crimes.

the fake news that appeared in the opposition media in recent days , according to which he pardoned the former deputy director of the children's home in Bicske, who was convicted of pedophilia.

Katalin Novák has already stated that there will be no pardon for pedophiles during her presidency. - There is no excuse for pedophilia. He who was convicted of pedophilia has never received and will not receive a presidential pardon.

In accordance with thirty-three-year-old traditions and legislation, we cannot provide detailed information on specific pardon cases

- declared the president of the republic. He emphasized:

there is no mention of the person concerned being convicted of pedophilia.

The former deputy director of the children's home in Bicske was in fact sentenced to prison and banned from public affairs and employment for an attempted crime of coercion committed as an accessory to a crime in official proceedings, as well as a crime of bribery in official proceedings.

The convict has been serving his sentence since 2021, spent a total of one year and five months in a penitentiary, and since his behavior was unremarkable, he was placed in reintegration custody from March 31, 2023, that is, he left the penitentiary, was placed in his own apartment, and a remote monitoring device was installed on it. This was based on the judge's decision, which took into account his personal circumstances and his behavior during the execution of the sentence.

So it is not that he could have left the prison as a result of the pardon decision, since he was no longer there.

Katalin Novák pardoned him at the end of April last year - the person concerned could have been conditionally released from reintegration detention on January 22, 2024, that is, there were nine months left of this detention.

The opposition refuses to acknowledge all of this, and in addition to spreading fake news, they are trying to get Katalin Novák relieved of her position as head of state. On February 9 , the NGO called Országos Közös Akarat organized
