If you missed it or would like to see it again, here you can watch our inaugural Civil Academy with László Csizmadia, the president of CÖF-CÖKA and jr. with constitutional lawyer Zoltán Lomnici.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán rightly said that it is best that it ends in 2023, primarily because of the growing threat of war and migration pressure. I don't know if we will have calmer years in the near future, but apparently the great powers do not give up easily! They are everywhere, they look for and find politicians who can be paid off, and they would transform and reform everything according to their taste. The year 2024 hasn't even started yet, we are already anxiously watching the events in Poland! Did we believe that Tusk was so vindictive, so powerful? Is it really possible to invade public television in a state of law? Can the former right-wing interior minister be taken away in handcuffs? Tusk promised to restore the "rule of law"! Would that be it? Let's cast our watchful eyes on Poland!

But at the opening civil academy, the topic was not only Poles, László Csizmadia, president of CÖF-CÖKA and jr. Constitutional lawyer Zoltán Lomnici also shared their thoughts on the highlights of daily politics. We learned about the positive outcome of the international Eucet conference organized by the CÖF, but it was impossible to ignore the resignation of Katalin Novák and Judit Varga, which was seen as a huge failure of the right. 2024 will be the year of the elections, the invited guests expressed their opinions on the local government election, the European Union election, and the American presidential election as well. If there are to be local government elections, it was essential to clarify what the people of Budapest got during the Christmas period, apart from the traffic chaos, spectacular politicization of scandals, and obvious frauds. A question arose as to whether Fidesz will run an independent candidate for the mayor's seat or will they stand behind someone? Why is there no constructive opposition today? It is as if 99 percent of the left, apart from the Szeged leader László Botka, does not know this political behavior.
