The Hungarian women's water polo team finished the World Championships in Doha as silver medalists, losing 8-7 to the Olympic champion American team in Friday's final. After three quarters, the score was still 5-5, unfortunately there was a four-minute short circuit in the beginning, after which it was not possible to equalize. Of course, you can judge a bit, 5 seconds before the end we didn't get a five-meter penalty for a fairly clear foul...

The Americans are therefore back on the world championship throne after 2022, but Attila Mihók's team is also to be praised. The team of Attila Mihók and Sándor Cseh - which won the Olympic quota in the Qatar competition - defended brilliantly, but was not efficient enough in attack, especially in the man advantage.

After 2001 and 2022, the Hungarian team won the world championship silver medal for the third time in its history, proving that it can compete with the best in the sport, which is promising before the Paris Games.
