The Hunyadi series is in an advanced stage of editing. The multi-million euro series was presented to the professional audience in London after the Berlinale by the German Beta Film, which handles the international sale of the rights. Hunyadi will be released on the international market under the title Rise of the Raven. Under the leadership of producer Robert Lantos, the 10-part work from Mór Bán's series of novels of the same name will be released at the end of the year - domestically and worldwide.

"The anticipation is huge, as there is currently no similar, monumental historical series being produced. The presented details only increased the interest, since in addition to the high professional standard, Hunyadi is also unique in that all actors speak in their mother tongue - thus increasing the historical authenticity," said producer Robert Lantos, who was also present at the private screening in Berlin. The production company informed Index about all this.

Consisting of ten one-hour episodes, Hunyadi presents the epic life of the general, who in the XV. defying the exhausting and cruel conditions of medieval Europe in the 19th century, he won a decisive victory in the battle of Nándorfehérvár with his enormous superiority, thus reshaping the history of Europe. Hunyadi lives his life among Italian, Polish, Austrian, Serbian and Hungarian noble families - which is punctuated by scandals, political power games and conspiracies.

Variety describes Hunyadi as one of the most epic European television productions of all time and features Robert Lantos, who quotes TS Eliot, who once said that between dreams and reality lies the shadow . Lantos puts it this way:

"I have struggled with this shadow throughout my career. I defeated the shadow with Rise of the Raven.″

In the series, which takes place among the scandals, political power games and court intrigues of medieval Europe, Hunyadit is played by L. Gellert, Erzsébet Szilágyi is played by Vivien Rujder, and Franciska Törőcsik plays the role of Mara Barankovics.

The directors are Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning Robert Dornhelm (Vienna blood, Mária Terézia, Háború és beke), as well as Nagypál Orsi (The Deal, The Outpost, Nyitva, Terápia) and Attila Szász (Apró mesék, Erök tél). The showrunner of the series is Balázs Lengyel (HBO Golden Life), who also directs one episode. The authors of the series are Lengyel, György Mihalka, Balázs Lovas, Zsófia Ruttkay, Attila Veres and Mór Bán , on whose bestselling series of novels the Hunyadi series is based.

Rise of the Raven delivers on everything it promises: a highly entertaining, emotional and powerful historical saga with exceptional production value. With a strong and unique emphasis on female perspectives, the series offers compelling storylines that are highly relevant to today's audiences.
