On the occasion of the Székely Freedom Day, the CÖF Club Miskolc will hold its usual commemoration this year, which, according to our tradition, is based on a walk through the city.
On Sunday, March 10, 2024, at 10 a.m., the meeting will take place in the square in front of the Music Palace, then Papszer utca – Mindszent-tér – Népkert/Országzászló (connection point, commemoration with prose, recitation, song) – Tapolca branch (technical rest area, connection point) ) – Hejőcsaba Millenium Monument – Bárczy Castle route, after about five kilometers the procession reaches the Templompart vineyard, where we also remember our glorious ancestors in the symbolic Székelyföld, concluding the event with a few snacks and a few glasses of wine.
I would like to ask everyone who intends to participate to wear a Székely or Hungarian cockade at the event and, if you can, bring a flag with you! If you have one, wear the CÖF Klub Miskolc badge, wrote chief organizer István László Vass.
Since the solidarity walk will take place at the same time as the Jelly Festival, which ends on the same day (the previous starting location has also been changed for this reason), all participants are therefore respectfully asked to refrain from political opposition, which is not very typical so far, thank God, but is still possible in some cases, in order for the event to be held peacefully and joyfully do not react, neither in action nor in words!
