The liberals of the Western world see a threat to democracy in the fact that their two biggest political opponents are negotiating with each other.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will visit former US President Donald Trump in Florida, and they will discuss how to create peace in Europe and how to return to normality in US-Hungarian diplomatic relations.

On Thursday, the Prime Minister posted on social media that he had already arrived in the United States.

Regarding the Trump-Orbán summit on Friday, the European Conservative writes that both leaders can look forward to the upcoming elections with good chances: the standard of living in Hungary is improving, voters support family-friendly policies, anti-immigration measures and the government's Christian, conservative values.

"Trump and Orbán are outspoken conservative leaders on issues such as migration, Islamic terrorism or the woke culture, and they also differ from mainstream thinking in relation to the conflict in Ukraine," the paper points out.

The author highlights: Trump and Orbán have repeatedly praised each other in recent years, and both have contributed to the strengthening of relations between the Republican and conservative European parties.

The European Conservative also notes that the Hungarian Prime Minister also influences European politics, pointing out that distancing himself from mainstream liberal ideas and replacing them with a conservative, sovereignist approach can be a successful model if he enjoys the support of the population.

Meanwhile, Western liberals worry about what will happen if the United States returns to conservatism, and in Europe anti-globalist parties rise in EU elections.

It's not surprising that they started flogging Trump and Orbán before their meeting on Friday. The MSNBC channel, for example, reported that Trump could introduce the same anti-democratic rule in the United States as Viktor Orbán in Hungary.
