Federal captain Marco Rossi announced the Hungarian national football team's squad for the March preparatory matches against Turkey and Kosovo, which included Márton Dárdai and Zalán Vancsa.
The national team captain announced the list of invited footballers in Telki on Tuesday, which also includes the middle Dárdai brother who plays for Hertha and Vancsa who plays for Lommel in Belgium.
After Márton Dárdai's announcement in January, he received the call-up at the first opportunity, so he can introduce himself to the national team as the third player after his father and brother.
András Schäfer can play again after September 2022, after recovering from his injury, he is expected not only in Germany, but also in the Hungarian national team.
There has been a change in the goalkeeper position, the injured Péter Szappanos is replaced by Fehérvár goalkeeper Balázs Tóth, who was the player of the month in the OTP Bank League in December.
In the defense, a new player is coming to the squad in the person of Dárdai, Attila Szalai has few opportunities in his club team, Freiburg, but he still enjoys the trust of Marco Rossi. Willi Orbán, who scored a goal against Real Madrid, is of course in the squad after his injury. In the axis of the midfield, we find familiar faces who received an invitation after a long time. In addition to Schäfer, László Kleinheisler is also like this, who will be a member of the national team for the first time since last summer. Zsolt Nagy, one of the Puskás Academy's best, is also returning, who was also absent due to injury. The captain of the national team, Dominik Szoboszlai, is also 100% fit, so he can play in friendly matches.
As for the attackers, the 19-year-old talent of Lommel SK, Vancsa Zalán, can be selected again after 2022. The striker, who scored a hat-trick in his club team last week, made his debut among the adults at the age of 17. Roland Sallai and Barnabás Varga, who were absent last time due to injury, are back in the squad, but now they are in bomb form.
The Hungarian national football team will play against Turkey on March 22 at 20:45 and against Kosovo on March 26 at 19:00 in the Puskás Arena.
M4 Sport and m4sport.hu broadcast both matches live.
The Hungarians will play two more preparatory matches in June, and at the European Championship they will first face Switzerland, then the hosts Germany, and the Scots in the group stage.
