The new Petőfi film commemorates one of the most outstanding figures of Hungarian poetry.

Most oi soha!, about March 15 and its hero, Sándor Petőfi, was presented in Budapest on Wednesday evening in the presence of the creators. historical adventure film, which can be seen in cinemas across the country from Thursday.

The government commissioner responsible for the development of the Hungarian national motion picture industry emphasized before the screening: "Now or never! it's about us, our heroes, patriotism and the desire for freedom".

They started writing the screenplay with Szente Vajk five years ago, then they were joined by Márk Kiss-Szabó, and not long after they asked Balázs Lóth "to make this dream come true together", recalled creative producer and screenwriter Philip Rákay.

As he said, due to the coronavirus epidemic, they were unable to start preparing the film for almost a year, which is why the presentation planned for the Petőfi bicentennial was postponed.

"Five years and thousands of people have worked on this film. We were able to work together with an excellent crew and actors for a good cause, which is the story of Petőfi and the March youth," said Rákay Philip.

According to creative producer and screenwriter Szente Vajk, everyone has their own idea of ​​March 15. This is what we imagined about him, he said.

Now or never! was created as a result of the joint work of fourteen hundred people. said director Balázs Lóth at the presentation.

In the film, Nándor Berettyán Petőfi plays his wife, Júlia Szendrey, Sára Mosolygó. Alongside them, Balázs Koltai-Nagy (Mór Jókai), Tibor Fehér (Pál Vasvári), Ottó Lajos Horváth (Farkasch, the secret agent), Gábor Jászberényi (Meyer, the robber leader), Sándor Lukács (General Ignaz von Lederer), Sándor Nagy can be seen in prominent roles (Gusztáv Emich) and Béla Szerednyey (Lajos Landerer).

During the week of the Hungarian premiere, the film will also be screened in Transylvania in cinemas in Nagyvár, Timisoara, Szatmárnémeti, Cluj, Marosvásárhely, Csíkszereda and Sepsiszentgyörgy. The film will also be shown in settlements where there are no cinemas, such as Székelyhíd, Nagyszalonta, Székelyudvarhely, Kézdivásárhely and Székelykeresztúr.

The 135-minute work was made with the support of the National Film Institute, and cameraman Tamás Dobos was responsible for the visual world. Zoltán Csincsi, Péter Fülöp and László Kriskó were responsible for producing.
