According to some member states of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Hungarian-Russian relations pose a threat, but Trump does not see it that way.
NATO members have warned Hungary that the close relationship it maintains with Russia is dangerous, reports Reuters.
The newspaper quoted David Pressman, the extremely anti-Hungarian ambassador of the United States in Budapest, who said that the security threats created by the behavior of the Hungarian government cannot be ignored.
On the other hand, Donald Trump, who is running for the American presidency again and was considered a candidate, said,
those countries that are not willing to abide by the treaties and that do not spend at least 2 percent of their GDP on the military industry pose a threat to NATO.
11 of the 31 countries comply with the "rules of the game" - Hungary is among them.
