The president of the National Association of Large Families (NOE) and András Aradszki, the KDNP member of Parliament of Pest county constituency No. 1, is initiating a referendum as a private person in order to find out the local people's opinion about the battery waste processing plant to be established next to the city.

Katalin Kardosné Gyurkó, the president of NOE, spoke at the press conference entitled Our common cause is environmental protection.

"Green energy is not a party political issue and is very closely related to a family-friendly environment"

Green energy investments can also contribute to increasing the country's economic performance, maintaining and creating jobs, thereby helping young people to be more courageous in having children, said the Fidesz mayoral candidate.

At the press conference, it was announced that the government published an online questionnaire consisting of 13 questions on zoldenergia.kormany.hu, which can be filled out until April 15.

András Aradszki, the Fidesz-KDNP member of parliament of constituency No. 1 in Pest County, stated: for the first time, the government is asking people's opinions about the green transition. According to the government's energy strategy, efforts must be made to use renewable energy sources, produce clean energy and reduce emissions, he added. Nóra Király, the president of the Zöld Követ Egyesület, said that the creation of the government's questionnaire was preceded by months of consultation, in which, in addition to her association, other professional organizations were also involved. We managed to put together a set of questions that covers the topic far and wide, he said.
