Andor Schmuck entered the downtown campaign with a huge promise, it seems that the municipal election in the V. district will not pass without his appearance this year either.

The 53-year-old politician - who, according to his own admission, drinks 7 liters of cola a day - announced at the beginning of February that he would enter the fight for the position of mayor of the 5th district if the other candidates were not willing to follow his idea

to offer half of the municipal budget to the population,

and to cancel the joint cost payment - reports 24.hu.

The portal points out that the Schmucks have also started leafletting in the district in the meantime, and have already registered the organization behind the election campaign, Miénk a Belváros Egyesület.

In addition to his many other electoral deals, Schmuck has so far run twice as a mayoral candidate in District V. In 2014, he obtained 3.38 percent with the Social Democratic Party, and 1.46 percent as an independent in 2019. Both elections were won by Péter Szentgyörgyvölgyi from Fidesz with over 50 percent support.
