The Central Investigative General Prosecutor's Office categorically denied what was heard on the audio recording of the alleged "big revelation", but also addressed other accusations at a press conference on Thursday.

The prosecutor's office worked day and night on the Schadl-Völner case, this press conference should also talk about the people who did this work, who investigated powerful people and invested most of their professional knowledge.

We had to hold this press conference because there were statements made by people with legal degrees in the press that surprised us - said Attorney General Pál Fürcht, head of the Central Investigative Prosecutor's Office.

As is well-known, in a corruption case, the investigating prosecutors questioned Péter Magyar last Wednesday morning on two topics related to the Schadl-Völner case.

Judit Varga's ex-husband claimed in his testimony that he had evidence.

As the press reported, Péter Magyar uploaded the mentioned poor-quality audio on his social media pages at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning: he published a poor-quality and confusing conversation with Judit Varga. In addition, during the vague conversation, he regularly says the names, highlights the important moments, tries to get his ex-wife to speak perceptibly, tries to draw serious sentences out of her, to question her - unsuccessfully. Among other things, you can hear that

- Chief Prosecutor Péter Polt is not the master of the prosecution,
- and that someone deleted data from prosecution files.

As the prosecutor said, they asked, among other things, whether the prosecutor's office was investigating the case.

He added: the investigation was ordered by the prosecutor's office. The investigation is ongoing. Prosecutors questioned the person as a witness. The chief prosecutor also said that Judit Varga was questioned as a witness on Wednesday, but he did not reveal what she said. Fürcht said

if there is a result of the investigation, they will inform the public.

According to the chief prosecutor, they were attacked, but from what was heard on the audio recording, it is true that the prosecutor's office is independent, and it is also true that the chief prosecutor Péter Polt is really not the master of the prosecutor's office, but is ruled by the laws, the chief prosecutor controls and leads this organization .

The chief prosecutor does not need my defense either, because he made a motion to suspend the immunity of Pál Völner, as in the case of István Boldog and György Simonka

- He told. To this, Fürcht added that yes, there is a hierarchy at the prosecutor's office, but they work as a team. He also said that there is a need for a hierarchy within the prosecutor's office because the prosecutors themselves are also independent.

The chief prosecutor said that all data has a trace in the files, and their path and traces can be followed.

He also explained that every single document must be presented to the investigative judges. He added: not one prosecutor works on a case like the Schadl-Völner case, often almost the entire staff of the prosecution worked.

There are several copies of these documents, with several prosecutors, so the content cannot be deleted.

The Attorney General said he would be "very, very happy to have a closet where evidence falls out" and charges can be brought from it, but that's not how it works: instead, witnesses are interrogated and eavesdropped.

At the end of the investigation, those that are deemed to be evidence and can support the charge are included in the indictment.

There should be traces of these in records. In order to delete a document, it must also be deleted from the minds of the investigating prosecutors working at the prosecutor's office. Not only the documents, but also the memory of the prosecutors must be deleted in such cases, he declared.

According to Fürcht, the fact that György Schadl administered the university exams in a profession should not be investigated by the prosecutor's office - it should be investigated by the university.

They blamed us for not knowing who Tóni, Barbara and Ádám are - but yes, we know who they are. The ones you know about, said Fürcht.

"We investigated, we found no trace of any 35-year-old business," said the chief prosecutor, who said that no data establishing a criminal offense was found based on the investigation. And it is not a crime for an entrepreneur to present certain plans. Fürcht said that they also investigated when György Schadl worked to fire a judge, but according to the Attorney General, this judge is still in his position today.
