Although the passage of time sometimes worries him, the love of music and family fills Károly Horváth, aka Charlie, with happiness. In addition to his musical innovations, the Ferenc Liszt Prize-winning entertainer also talked about his grandson in Duna's afternoon magazine show, Family Circle.

"Now I enjoy every minute, I see the world positively. I started my career 60 years ago and have been working non-stop since then. I have been making music together with my fellow musicians for 40 years. I have a soon-to-be 13-year-old grandson, and I'm preparing for my next Arena concert," Charlie began as a guest of the Family Circle.

The Ferenc Liszt Prize-winning performer added that an autobiographical book about him will be published in April, which, referring to his birthday this year, will tell 77 stories from his life.

"I cried many times when I was selecting the photos, but there were also times when I couldn't even remember when and where the picture was taken. My wife, Katikám, organized our photo albums, but since she was gone, they got mixed up, so sorting was a serious job," the singer noted. He also testified about the absence of his wife, it hurts him that their grandson could only know her until he was three years old. All told, he is enjoying all the joys of grandfatherhood, spending a lot of time with Erik.

"For me, family is the meaning of life. My grandson is a beautiful, talented and decent boy. He is in the seventh grade, studies well and speaks excellent English. Recently, I had an American friend as a guest, and they had a good conversation. He sings beautifully, but he also plays football"

Charlie boasted.

The musician, recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Petőfi Music Award, gave his grandson only one piece of advice regarding his career choice: choose a profession that he loves with passion. The entire conversation can be viewed on the Family Circle's Media Click page , where previous broadcasts are also available.
