The Hungarian Prime Minister spoke in Brussels at the conference that the left-wing city administration tried to prevent with all its might.

It caused a huge international scandal when the Belgian police blockaded the site of the NatCon conference based on an order on Tuesday. After several hours of trial, the Belgian court officially overturned the order to stop the conference, which allowed it to continue on Wednesday.

The main speaker on Wednesday is Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who is talking to Yoram Hazony at the conference. Hazony noted that the Hungarian Prime Minister had already been received in Rome before.

Hazony said: previously, there was a lack of political leadership in the national conservative movement. According to him, it is Hungary that has assumed a leading role in this field.

At the same time, Viktor Orbán explained: a country of the right size is needed in order for someone to actually lead the movement politically. According to him, Italy or France are suitable for this.

"It is important to fight for freedom and it makes us more active"

- He told.

According to Orbán, there is daily oppression in the West, which is getting stronger.

"Let's replace the leadership. If the drive is bad, it must be replaced. This is not just a political statement, but a fact.”

- Orbán said about the purpose of the EP elections.

The green transition has failed, farmers are in trouble, migration has not been resolved, and competitiveness has also deteriorated - the Prime Minister listed the problems.

Victory in Brussels!

Orbán refused to be a populist because he made promises and kept them. "This is not populism, this is politics."

He said of the end of communism: "It was one of the best periods of my life." In the late 1980s, they were put under similar pressure to what happened at the conference.

"The main issue today is freedom.

Oppression or freedom? Freedom is under threat in Brussels, as was evident yesterday. We must fight for freedom, those who love freedom must unite!” he declared.

About migration

"Our civilization has Christian roots. Those who want to come here come from Islamic civilization."

"As a grandfather, I am interested in the question of what kind of country Hungary will be in 2100."

According to Orbán, the stakes of migration are what kind of civilization will be in Europe. "Living in a Christian civilization is the best. Why would we give up?” He added that Islam is also a valuable civilization.

"Mixing the two civilizations does not bring good things."

He added: nations have the right to decide on migration.

Migration is about a community having the right to decide who it wants to live with, he said.

It's a question of Christianity

Viktor Orbán said: Hungarians are in trouble, religiosity is decreasing in Hungary. The church is not strong.

"Being a Christian is hard"

- the temptation to not follow the teachings of Jesus is much greater - he added.

The state can do a lot to maintain cultural heritage.

“We cannot force people to follow a religion,” he said. "We try to support families to convince young people that family is a good thing," he said, adding that the desire to have children is slowly increasing.

Ukraine is just one of the West's protectorates

Mandiner , reporting on the conversation that Yoram Hazony at one point asked him about the fact that Viktor Orbán is considered Vladimir Putin's closest ally, and what he thought about that. According to the prime minister, ally is a strong term.

We have a simple geopolitical strategy, we do not want a common border with Russia. We respect the sovereignty and international rights of Ukraine, and we believe that the Russian attack is contrary to these international rights. At the same time, Ukraine today is just a protectorate of the West. He also said that he has always maintained good economic relations with Russia, which he does not want to give up.

At the same time, this war is not the war of the Hungarians. The West, on the other hand, regards this war as their own, but they do not want to die.

At the end of the conversation, Israel was also mentioned, in connection with which Orbán indicated that 200,000 Jews of Hungarian origin live in Israel, and therefore this is not just a geopolitical issue for us. At the same time, Budapest has one of the largest Jewish communities in Europe.

Even before the start of the second day of the event, Viktor Orbán told journalists that the banning of the event, and later its authorization, is like being in Hungary at the end of the 1980s, when the

the forces of freedom and the forces of oppression are fighting each other. We are glad that we are still allowed to speak in Brussels

he added. The National Conservatism Conference (NatCon) is a symbolic event that describes the situation in Europe well, said the Prime Minister, adding that Brussels is balancing on the borderline of oppression. And when asked what the most important task of national conservatism is now, he answered: freedom, family, peace.
