The name of the teenage attacker has not been released.

15-year-old Alfie Lewis died in November 2023 in a knife attack in Horsforth, near Leeds, England. The court has now heard from one of the boy's schoolmates, who said that there had been clashes between the perpetrator and the victim in the past, reports Skynews .

Alfie Lewis was murdered with a 13cm kitchen knife near his primary school, in front of his classmates and parents waiting for the students. According to the prosecutor, the accused stabbed the boy twice, once in the chest and once in the leg, from which he died on the spot.

The boy reassured his killer

The trial heard that Alfie was shocked and in a state of shock when his schoolmate pounced on him, asking his attacker: "What are you doing?"

The teenager then collapsed and died on the road next to the primary school, in front of students leaving school and parents waiting for them. The accused fled and threw the gun on the road near Szent Margit Primary School.

According to the autopsy, the stab wound to Alfie's chest was 14 centimeters deep and practically pierced the boy's heart.

Although, according to the prosecutor, the boy will plead self-defense in the further trials, this is contradicted by all the witness accounts, as the victim did not act aggressively or threaten the student who stabbed him.

Calm down!

- according to the report of another primary school student, this is how the victim tried to calm down his attacker before his death.

He protected a girl from her later attacker

The boy, who attended Monday's trial with his father - and due to his age cannot be named for legal reasons - denies the murder.

During the current trial, the court heard about two previous incidents between Alfie and his attacker. One incident occurred in July 2023, when the victim intervened in a fight involving the defendant, and the other occurred on Halloween, when the defendant threw a firecracker at the victim.

A 15-year-old girl told the jury that the fight in July 2023 was between her younger brother and the defendant. The defendant punched the girl in the face when she came to her brother's defense, at which point she got into a fight with Alfie, who pushed the attacker aside and asked:

"Why are you hurting a girl?" The attacker fell to the ground, but Alfie helped him up and they shook hands.

The trial of the case will continue at a later date.
