The fact that Manfred Weber, the faction leader of the European People's Party, spoke on a Bavarian television program about the need for European nuclear weapons stirred up a lot of dust in recent days.
According to him, if French President Emmanuel Macron offered a nuclear weapon to Europe, then we should think about accepting it.
Manfred Weber said in the program that he was disappointed that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the German government remained silent regarding Macron's proposal that Western soldiers should be sent to Ukraine.
Weber also advocated that compulsory military service should be introduced throughout the European Union.
However, the Bavarian Christian Democrat politician is deeply silent when it comes to experiencing the horrors of war first hand.
The Russian-Ukrainian war has already destroyed hundreds of thousands of lives and claimed many hundreds of thousands of civilian and military victims. However, Western politicians keep fueling the fire and would escalate the war.
