Luca Ekler defended his title and won a gold medal in the long jump at the World Para-Athletics Championships in Kobe, Japan.

According to the information provided by the Hungarian Paralympic Team's social media page, the TFSE athlete - after two days ago also taking first place in the 100-meter sprint - defended his title again with a world championship record of 5.63 meters in the final of the T38 category on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old Ekler became champion for the third time in a row after the World Championships in Dubai in 2019 and last year in Paris.

The other Hungarian finalist of the competition day, István Szőllősi (F20), finished sixth in the shot put with 14.36 meters.

Hungarian colors will be represented by six competitors at the World Cup, which runs until Saturday.
