Preply ranked the continent's popular destinations based on the average ice cream shelves. Our favorite domestic vacation spot, Lake Balaton, achieved a particularly good ranking.
For most of us, ice cream is one of the highlights of the holiday, and even an essential component, even if the price of the iced dessert is slowly skyrocketing.
The Preply recently published a top list, which ranks 40 European destinations based on their average ice cream stocks measured in April this year. Our favorite domestic vacation spot, Lake Balaton, was found to be the third cheapest, turizmus.com reports.
Among the examined destinations, the cheapest ice creams can be found in these European resorts:
- Turkey, Turkish Riviera: EUR 0.55
- Albania, Albanian Riviera: EUR 1.03
- Hungary, Balaton: 1.22 euros
The most expensive in Norway: in the western fjords, you can eat an ice cream scoop for an average of 5.41 euros. It is followed by Zurich, where a serving of ice cream costs 3.75 euros, and Rome costs 3.62 euros.
