The new alliance primarily expects Central European parties to join.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán founded the new patriotic alliance with Herbert Kickl, the chairman of the Austrian Freedom Party, and Andrej Babis, former Czech prime minister and chairman of the ANO party.
As for what other parties can join the patriotic alliance, Sámuel Ágoston Mráz, head of the Nézőpont Institute, believes that they are mainly waiting for Central European parties to join.
"Fidesz-KDNP, the Czech ANO and the Austrian Freedom Party already have 24 representatives, which is sufficient in terms of numbers, but in order to create an independent faction, in addition to three countries, representatives from four other countries must be united. This can be the case, for example, with the party of the former Slovenian prime minister, Janez Jansa, the Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS), but also the Polish party, Law and Justice (PiS). You could also hear a lot about the Smer party of the current Slovak Prime Minister, Robert Fico," he said.
With this new alliance, a worthy adversary can be created against the pro-war coalition established in Brussels.
Regarding the reaction of the Brussels leaders, Sámuel Ágoston Mráz said that they will most likely try to question the significance of the patriotic alliance.
That is why it was very important to emphasize at the Sunday press conference that this is the beginning of a process and that more parties are expected to join.

Moreover, it is also possible that a new right-wing coalition will be created together with existing party alliances, since the members of the patriotic alliance can certainly cooperate with Giorgia Meloni or Marine Le Pen.
Even if these key politicians do not enter, cooperation with them in Europe can be assured, and thus the objective of establishing at least the second largest political alliance in Europe, which could reach up to twenty percent of the European Parliament, is realistic.
In addition to rejecting federal Europe, this patriotic alliance has the following values in common: respect for traditions, protection of families, rejection of migration and, above all, a peaceful settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian war taking place in our neighborhood as soon as possible.
According to Sámuel Ágoston Mráz, the initiator in this new party alliance is the Hungarian Prime Minister, who played with open cards throughout the European Parliament election campaign and emphasized the slogans of "No war, no migration, no gender".
"It is not possible to achieve results quickly in these cases against the pro-war coalition, but the competitive structure of the European political space will be transformed and it will become bipolar compared to the dominance of the current pro-war coalition. From now on, European politics will be about a two-pole struggle, one pro-war and one pro-peace," he said, then added:
This is also why Sunday is important, when the first round of the French National Assembly election takes place.
"So not only will a new party alliance be created, but it could easily be that a new political era begins in the second largest member state as well, which will also result in the transformation of this European party dominance and the European political space becoming bipolar," Mráz said.
