Following the request of the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister conducted his consultations on the formation of the government and agreed with the ministers of his future government on joint work for the next four years, announced Bertalan Havasi, the head of the Prime Minister's Press Office.

He reminded: Viktor Orbán explained in his previous statements that a decade of dangers is ahead of us; there is a war, as a result prices are rising all over Europe, there are signs of a serious energy crisis, European economies are facing trials, and we have not yet recovered from the era of epidemics.

On April 3, the people made a clear decision: they expect the country's leaders to protect them and Hungary against these dangers. It is necessary to stay out of the war, and the questions of the unfolding European economic crisis must be answered in such a way as to enable Hungary to preserve its achievements.

Hungary needs a government capable of providing good answers to the challenges facing the country.

Viktor Orbán designed the structure of the government in accordance with this logic, and selected the persons leading the government based on this, said the press chief.

Viktor Orbán asked Zsolt Semjén to be general deputy prime minister, who will also work as the minister responsible for national policy, nationality policy, church policy and church diplomacy.

The Ministry of Agriculture will be headed by István Nagy, the Ministry of the Interior by Sándor Pintér, the Ministry of Construction and Investment by János Lázár, the Ministry of National Defense by Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky, and the Ministry of Justice by Judit Varga.

Viktor Orbán asked János Csák to head the Ministry of Culture and Innovation, Péter Szijjártó to head the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Antal Rogán to head the Prime Minister's Cabinet Office, and Gergely Gulyás to head the Prime Minister's Office.

The Ministry of Finance can be headed by Mihály Varga, and the Ministry of Technology and Industry by László Palkovics. Márton Nagy can work as minister responsible for economic development, and Tibor Navracsics as minister responsible for regional development and the use of EU funds for the next four years.
