"Barni has joined the team at the training camp in Lienz!" – can be read on the Facebook page of the Ferencváros Gymnastics Club, where a photo of the Hungarian hero of the EC was also published.
This clearly shows that Barnabás Varga's face no longer has any bandages or plasters, which he wore in the last interview with him.
"I'm better now, the swelling has also decreased. The stitches will be taken out soon, I'll have to get a mask done, so I'm on the right track. I don't remember a lot of things, which is why I think that it was the hardest for my partner and my friends and teammates. My first memory is actually from the ambulance, I remember a few minutes there, afterwards they said that I communicated even after the collision, but that is not the case. But afterwards, what happened in the hospital is completely clear," his player recently told Fradi TV.
The broadcast of M4 Sport also revealed: the full recovery of the striker will be a longer process, but he can take the field in a few weeks wearing a mask. The first step of this could be for Varga to train with the team.
As is known, the Hungarian national team striker collided with the opponent's goalkeeper on June 23, during the European Championship match against Scotland.
Barnabás Varga was lying unconscious on the pitch, an ambulance had to be called.
It soon became clear that, fortunately, he only suffered a broken cheek bone, but no permanent damage.
After Varga's injury, the Hungarian team seemed to have gained wings: soon after, in the 100th minute of the match, Szoboszlai's managed to win with a goal by Kevin Csoboth. Despite the great victory, Marco Rossi's team did not advance from the group in the end.
