If there is still an Olympics, people will still kill each other . Written by László Kiss.
The Olympian is finally over. The Olympics are finally here. Even if it happened that we, the Hungarians, put the burden of the arrangement on the shoulders of the French.
Or rather, the whole truth is that we did not fight with them for the right.
Yes, because in addition to the fact that the dreamer of the modern games, Pierre de Coubertin, already wrote a poem at the beginning of the last century, Peace is you, you are sport, and won the art competition of the Stockholm Olympics with it, there should have been a fight. Primarily with Paris, the French.
Instead, we fought each other at home. And it seems that the support for the Hungarian arrangement was not strong enough, and some one-headed child, who was released from the tournament, turned himself into a hero politician by spitting out a few thousand - a hundred thousand?, a million? – the dream of a Hungarian man.
Although we won one hundred and eighty-two gold medals in fourteen sports in the history of the Summer Olympics, immature demagoguery, ignorance, stupidity, conscious or accidental misinterpretation of the facts defeated all dreams, desires and wills.
Undoubtedly, even the ignorant have the right to demonstrate in a democracy, just as I have the right to write nonsense online.
And we will have the right to celebrate Hungarian gold. Even if there are, and rotten minute children, second-hand men, they won't demand the banning of the celebration either. What can be known?
Anyway, for now, they're celebrating. Forward. In Paris, winners are announced in thirty-five sports, that is, there are twenty-two Olympic sports in which Hungary has not yet won gold.
It is also true that it is no longer about sports here.
Certainly not. According to the testimony of historical records, competition meant more in the ancient Greek world as well, and when the time of the Olympics came, the warring parties laid down their weapons.
Well, even now there would be something to put down, since there are warring parties from Israel to Kiev and Moscow, the world is armed to the hilt. The only thing missing is sport and peace. But even if there is an Olympics, people will still kill each other.
It's hard for them to get along. In Paris, for example, the airport workers announced a strike for the duration of the games, the participants of the opening ceremony are demanding more money, and
only athletes do not want to refuse "work".
About three thousand dancers, musicians and actors along the Seine and the surrounding bridges will take part in the opening, and not for free.
At the same time, before the competitions, workers in other areas also threatened to strike or held a work stoppage to fight for better conditions. In recent months, for example, the police, train drivers, civil servants and garbage collectors have also used this method. At the same time, great care must also be taken so that the big meeting of the world's athletes does not drown in traffic chaos.
However, there are already signs of this, and it would not be surprising if the Hungarian non-Olympics would come up with this.
I mean, what they saved the people of Budapest from, and the many athletes, sports leaders, and tourists.
Which would not have been silly if the Hungarian people had been made aware of the expected versions before the Games, supported by facts. They tell us, for example, that the arrangement costs so much and so much.
Well, he doesn't lead blindly in his unworldly way, listing what money is needed for everything in the country, from health care to education, but with calculations to support how much it costs if we pay for the arrangement. And they specifically tell and describe what we can gain or lose in the store.
But not. It doesn't work for us, and of course it's not entirely clear who should have provided statistics, the directors or the young people in Vátez.
They could have made us ignorant people aware of what an Olympics means to a city and a country. In infrastructure, jobs, tourism, income. And of course also in edition. The facilities, roads, stadiums, hotels - so that the director is now a country and not a city, well distributed - will stay here, but such excellences obviously know that.
And not just that they cost money. Even to the EU, whose path has been so successfully blocked up until now, so successfully that even the customs officials of the party-state times did not oppose the flow of money in and out as massively as the predecessors of the non-Olympic guys and girls, the successful people of the left.
In any case, Paris also initiated the French into economic mysteries. They claimed, they claim, for example, that this will be the Olympics
it is also a test of games organized in the spirit of financial sustainability, since no Olympics have been held before that had this as one of the most important organizational principles.
"According to the analysts, the 2024 Olympics will definitely be a profitable event with long-term positive effects. The question is whether the economic stimulus for the region around Paris will be closer to 6.7 or 11.1 billion euros. According to estimates, every euro of public spending during the Olympics has an economic impact of at least three euros. Thus, Paris can host the cheapest summer games for decades. Economic stimulation effects include the fact that 2.3-3.1 million visitors can come to the city, one in three of them foreigners. It is extremely important for the local economy that about 78 percent of the suppliers are small and medium-sized enterprises. 90 percent of the service providers participating in the organization are also French. The effects on the labor market cannot be neglected either, as the event provides work for 181,000 people. And the newly built Olympic village will be transformed into an environmentally conscious and functional part of town after the competitions."
The net impact in the Paris region between 2018 and 2034 comes from external economic resources that would not have occurred without the Games.
The period 2018 to 2034 has been defined to cover the entire life cycle of the Paris 2024 Games, including preparation, staging and the legacy of the event. According to the intermediate scenario, about 84 percent of the impact will be felt in the preparation and implementation phase, i.e. until 2024, and the remaining 16 percent will occur in the final legacy phase, and will primarily result from the organization of tourism, the construction industry, and the games.
In addition to the above, the organization of major sports events can have a positive effect on local small and medium-sized businesses, as the organizers purchase various equipment and services from local sellers and suppliers. And this also has a positive effect on employment, among other things.
At the same time, there is also a battle of words, for example, about whether it is possible or permissible to organize competitions in the faeces-polluted Seine.
Well, fortunately, we don't have such a problem, we have the Danube River, we have young, up-and-coming, talented politicians, it's a shame that some of them think that history started with them. They know that this will be the first Olympics, the French invented football, so of course what the French baron invented is also true: you are peace, you are sport!
