The president of the Tisza Party complained to the American newspaper The Washington Post.
"I am reading the opposition's latest American statement. I see that, according to both the old left and the new left, it is anti-Semitism to reject the views of György Soros. Nothing new under the sun! In fact, they succeeded in anti-Semitizing the whole of Hungary once again. After all, we Hungarians do not agree with the abolition of nation-states, the admission of migrants and war propaganda," said Balázs Orbán in a post shared on his Facebook page.
For them, the washing of György Soros is important, for us it is the protection of our borders and our sovereignty. Let's choose! - added the prime minister's political director.
Péter Magyar told the American newspaper The Washington Post that the Hungarian state essentially does not work, there is only propaganda and lies.
The new president of the Tisza Party said what damage Viktor Orbán's "propaganda factory" has caused to Hungarian democracy.
– Since 2010, the Orbán government has based its policy on protests against migrants and LGBTQ+ rights, as well as distrust of the European Union, and proclaims that György Soros is plotting to destabilize Hungary. The latter is a classic anti-Semitic topos, the article wrote.
Péter Magyar had a change of heart quite quickly, because a few months ago, when asked by ATV if he thought there really was a Soros plan, he answered: he was there when György Soros announced his plan in Brussels in 2015. Many people did not like the idea of how to get the union out of debt.
According to him, the billionaire businessman is not famous for being a philanthropist, but for having conquered a few countries and currencies, and in Hungary he wanted to acquire the OTP.
He later added that the plan raised in the question "probably exists."
