The actor wanted to be buried with his dog, but Loubo was not put to sleep.
The last request of the recently deceased Alain Delon will not be fulfilled, writes the Guardian . The French actor, who died at the age of 88, wanted his 10-year-old Belgian shepherd to be euthanized so that he could be buried with him in the actor's native village. However, the indignation of the animal protection authorities intervened, since, as they said, the dog is completely healthy, so they offered to find a new home for Loubo instead.
The four-legged dog was finally saved, and Delon's daughter Anouchka announced that the family would keep the dog.
The actor will be laid to rest on his own estate in La Brûlerie, France. Alain Delon was fond of dogs, he previously said that he had a chapel built in the same place, where approximately 35 of his dead pets are laid to rest.
