The Ministry of the Interior (BM) dismissed the principal of Imre Madách High School with immediate effect on Wednesday, the ministry told MTI.

"A leader who does not comply with the law and is openly opposed to it cannot manage a state institution"

- said the BM in a statement.

As we wrote , the Imre Madách High School in Budapest made headlines when its board of education wrote to parents and students on the institution's website in connection with the decree published on August 19 regarding the restriction of the use of smart devices at school: "we would like to reassure everyone that digital devices - ( school) laptops, mobile phones - we do not take them away before class (applying § 5 of the decree). The pedagogical goal of our school is to educate for the correct use of digital culture, not to ban it."
