At Wednesday's meeting, the government gave János Bóka a mandate to negotiate with the European Commission regarding the migration fine, Gergely Gulyás announced on Thursday at Kormányinfo.
The minister in charge of the Prime Minister's Office stated: no one can be resettled despite the will of the Hungarian people, and the Hungarians also decided on this in the referendum.
We will continue to protect the borders - emphasized Gergely Gulyás, adding that refugees arriving in our country will be offered a one-way trip to Brussels, and then he went on to say that the government is also asking the Commission to reimburse the border police costs.
"For other Schengen countries, the Commission reimbursed the costs," he added.
He reminded: in 2015, Hungary was the first to speak out in favor of the protection of the external borders, and also stated that
that they are happy that the Germans also realized the importance of protecting the external borders.
The government also discussed the objectives of next year's budget. Gergely Gulyás said: Márton Nagy is constantly negotiating with employers and employees in order to get as big a wage increase as possible.
"The government does not decide on the amount of the minimum wage," he stated, adding that the government wants a multi-year wage agreement between the parties.
The government will introduce a worker's loan from January 1 of next year at the latest; the preferential loan will be available to those who have been working since the age of 17-18 and are not entitled to a student loan, said the minister in charge of the Prime Minister's Office.
According to Gergely Gulyás, the government discussed the skilled worker loan and decided that instead it would like to introduce a worker loan that is not only available to skilled workers.
The goal is that those who have been working since they were 17-18 years old, and for whom student loans are not available for that reason, can easily and quickly get a discounted loan, he explained.
He announced: the details of the loan will be worked out by Minister of National Economy Márton Nagy, and the government will introduce it by January 1, 2025 at the latest.
Regarding the investments, Eszter Vitályos revealed: investments worth HUF 84 billion were realized in recent weeks, which means a total of 32 projects.
Eszter Vitályos said: Kindergartens and nurseries were built or renewed with more than HUF 2 billion.
Between Eger and Szilvásvárad, the renovation of highway no. 25 and road no. 2506 has been completed. The amount of the investment was HUF 4 billion.
An investment of 1.8 billion forints was realized in the settlement of Lőrinci in Heves county, which includes bus waiting buildings in Pásztó and its surroundings, construction of pedestrian crossings, parking spaces and bicycle racks, installation of cameras, construction of a wildlife fence.
Five settlement development projects were completed, with a total of HUF 750 million in support.
