The Hungarian Prime Minister held intensive negotiations last week so that the Zelenskyi-Putin peace summit could be held as soon as possible.
According to the Swiss Weltwoche, the Hungarian Prime Minister is working together with China and Brazil on a meeting where Ukraine and Russia would be seated.
An article entitled "friends of peace" was published in the Swiss Weltwoche, in which the editor-in-chief, Roger Köppel, wrote that Orbán, together with Brazil and China, is organizing a summit that would also include Russia and Ukraine; the paper knows that the leaders of Switzerland and France will also appear at the conference.
Exactly when and where this conference would take place is still in question.
The killing must end, the prime minister told the editor-in-chief of Weltwoche, with whom he traveled to the Czech Republic for the birthday celebration of the former Czech president Milos Zeman.
The paper knows that Orbán held intensive negotiations with China and Brazil last week so that the Zelenskyi-Putin peace summit could be held as soon as possible. Weltwoche recalls that, after our country took over the presidency of the Union, the Hungarian Prime Minister embarked on a peace tour, visiting Kiev, Moscow, China and the United States, in order to establish a ceasefire and end the war as soon as possible.
The Swiss newspaper writes that Orbán convinced the Ukrainian president that he will run out of time, but Zelensky sees the opposite, he still believes that he can defeat Russia with military force.
Putin explained to Orbán that he was going to win in Ukraine and crush Zelensky's army, so the Russian president considered negotiations unnecessary.
Orbán is now trying to resolve this blocked situation with international pressure, writes Köppel, who says that relations between Hungary and Brazil are currently relatively frosty, as Orbán angered the elected president, Lula, for openly pushing for his challenger, Bolsonaro.
According to Weltwoche, despite previous disagreements, Orbán managed to convince Lula to support the peace conference plan. As you know, negotiations are currently taking place about the location of the peace summit, in addition to Hungary, China and Brazil, France and Switzerland are also participating in the meeting.
