Reflecting on the results of the American elections, the intellectual patriots of CÖF-CÖKA wrote an open letter to David Pressman, the United States ambassador to Hungary, in which they emphasize that they classify as undesirable any political approach that openly interferes in Hungarian internal affairs in the defense of Hungary's sovereignty.

The letter signed by CÖF founder László Csizmadia, chairman of the CÖKA board of trustees, was presented by Máté Tordai, director of foreign affairs of CÖF-CÖKA , at a press conference held in front of the United States embassy in Budapest.

The full text of the letter:

"Dear Mr. Ambassador!

On this exceptional day, we celebrate the victory of American democracy. The triumph of the principle of popular sovereignty over the progressive power complex, which, in an unprecedented way in the history of modern democracies, tried to prevent a former president from participating in the democratic competition by using the criminal law.

The citizens of the United States have made a clear and unquestionable decision.

Protecting children instead of woke and gender ideology; curbing immigration instead of illegal migration; the capacity for responsible governance instead of political, economic and social collapse; they chose the hope of peace instead of war.

As a result of their decision, Hungarian-American relations can also be settled in a reassuring manner. Among others, according to its original purpose and content, the ambassadorial function, which includes the basic roles of diplomacy between our countries, can also be restored.

The path of political activism that openly interferes in Hungarian internal affairs and directly violates the sovereignty of our country can be replaced by the constructive approach of building interstate relations, represented by Ambassador David Cornstein.

It can therefore be stated that the bright triumph of American democracy today has also swept away the perception you represent, which violates the basic rules of diplomatic ethics. the Civil Solidarity Forum - Civil Solidarity Non-profit Foundation (CÖF-CÖKA) and the hundreds of thousands of civil intellectual patriots behind it, we will symbolically classify you as "persona non grata" in defense of Hungary's sovereignty from today.

Budapest, November 6, 2024.

Sincerely:

Dr. László Csizmadia

the president of CÖF-CÖKA"

Zoltán Lomnici Jr., the spokesperson of CÖF-CÖKA, congratulated President-elect Donald Trump on behalf of the organization, with whom, as he said, they look forward to cooperation.

He recalled that out of the last 15 years, there was only four years of right-wing government in the United States.

During this four-year period, David Cornstein was the ambassador of the United States to Hungary who respected Hungary's sovereignty and did not interfere in domestic politics.

David Pressman, on the other hand, did not respect Hungary, the Hungarian government and the Hungarian Prime Minister, which was coupled with imperial arrogance, colonialist arrogance and a series of unacceptable political interventions, he continued.

The justice system was not left out of this either and held the hand of the Hungarian left, the spokesperson said.

Norbert Heizler, CÖF-CÖKA's organizational director, believed:

democracy showed Mr. Pressman "where to go". Intellectual patriots say: enough of the political activist's activities.

They trust that the new leadership of the United States will send a person to the head of the foreign representation in Budapest who will not work on digging ditches, but on deepening the Hungarian-American friendship, said Norbert Heizler.

After the press conference, the representatives of CÖF-CÖKA and the sympathizers who had gathered went to the entrance of the embassy to hand over the open letter, but no one took the document.

Zoltán Lomnici Jr. announced that the letter will be sent to David Pressman in electronic form as well as on paper.
