This year, between November 29 and January 5, 2025, MVM announces a more than five-week shutdown moratorium among its residential customers. In accordance with the practice of the past years, the company does not turn off the electricity and natural gas of any of its residential customers during the festive period - informed MVM Next Energiakereskedelmi Zrt. MTI on Wednesday.

"With the shutdown moratorium announced in the electricity and natural gas services, we would like to contribute to the celebration of love as a responsible service provider, so that it speaks of peaceful coexistence. By ensuring a continuous energy supply, MVM helps ensure that every family can spend the festive period around Christmas and New Year in peace," quoted Gábor Hiezl, MVM Next Energiakereskedelmi Zrt. CEO.

The measure covers residential customers who have a universal service contract with MVM Next Energiakereskedelmi Zrt.

MVM's voluntary switch-off moratorium affects not only protected customers, but also residents who have invoices that are more than 60 days in arrears.

However, it does not apply to those who have already been disconnected from the service, nor to business customers or customers who have a contract with another energy retailer, warned MVM Next.
