Next year, on the other hand, may bring peace and economic growth, there is a real chance that there will be peace in Hungary's environment.
Next year's budget was the central topic of Thursday's government briefing, at which Gergely Gulyás said: the discussion of the budget, which is essentially the budget of the new economic policy, has begun in the Parliament.
The minister in charge of the Prime Minister's Office emphasized that the cycle of wage increases will continue, the aim of which is to have a serious real wage increase next year. The budget guarantees this for the next 3 years, he added. According to the minister, the government is also working hard to create affordable housing.
The Sándor Demján plan is also part of the budget, which guarantees small and medium-sized enterprises cheap access to capital or non-refundable subsidies. The government also supports families and pensioners, Gergely Gulyás said, and added that the increase in value and stability of the value of pensions can also be ensured.
"The level of the minimum wage increase is the 5th highest in Europe, and the government also ensures this in the public sector," he emphasized.
Gergely Gulyás emphasized that the government also considers affordable housing important, which is why the rural home renovation support program is coming, which means 50 percent state support up to a maximum of six million forints, so the state provides support of up to 3 million forints.
"The current value of the employer's housing allowance is HUF 150,000 per month, which can be provided with the most favorable tax rate possible," said Gergely Gulyás.
Gergely Gulyás said that the retail interest rate cap for private individuals will be extended by another 6 months.
"This measure, which has been with us for a long time, ensures that the families are burdened with interest, they cannot grow, that if we had not done this, the families would have had to pay hundreds of billions of HUF, so the banking sector is the one that takes over these costs," he emphasized Gergely Gulyás.
The government also discussed the state of war arising from the ongoing Russian attack in Ukraine and noted that the threat of war is greater than ever.
"We strengthened the air defense of the eastern border after the attacks on the Subcarpathians. The government firmly opposes armed support for Ukraine and will do everything to ensure that Hungary stays out of the war," said Gergely Gulyás.
"The management of the committee is not characterized by change, but it is gratifying that Olivér Várhelyi remained in place. The European People's Party deceived its voters, as it previously approached the right and then made a pact with the left," said Gergely Gulyás. The committee's program is in line with this, so support for migration, he added.
"Part of this agreement is unwavering support for Ukraine and the war. It is particularly harmful that there is also talk of introducing new pan-European taxes," said the minister.
2025 can bring peace and economic growth, there is a real chance that there will be peace in Hungary's environment, Gergely Gulyás said.
This could lead to a decrease in energy prices and a restoration of European competitiveness, he added. Large factories will start production next year, he explained. The budget expects a 3.4 percent increase.
Investments worth HUF 14 billion have been made in the past two weeks, said government spokesperson Eszter Vitályos, and then he mentioned kindergarten renovations and a major road renovation among the investments. The renovation of the hospital in Nagyatád worth HUF 700 million has been completed, he specified.
