CÖF-CÖKA is pushing for the expansion of public interest data provision, which, within the framework of the European Union Civil Cooperation Council (EuCET), has decided to support the Patriots for Europe faction operating in the European Parliament by creating a foundation with legal personality. The details were discussed by László Csizmadia, the president of CÖF-CÖKA, in the December 16 program of Kossuth Rádió Jó reglegt Magyarország.
Hungarian citizens and taxpayers have the right to have public funds in Büsszel accounted for. We don't see that. The CÖF-CÖKA operates an NGO locator, where we try to obtain information regarding the various NGOs on how much support they receive from Brussels or the Soros organization. Domestic laws allow us to request data provision, and our view is that this should be extended to the European Union as well. The money of European subscribers, which is managed by the European Union, should be transparent. We recommend that the data provision obligation that applies to nation states should also apply to the European Union. The Hungarian Parliament should be able to request the use of these public funds by resolution, said László Csizmadia.
We decided that if we want to lobby or have a direct say in the work of the European Commission or the European Parliament, we can do so through a foundation with legal personality, so we created the Patriotic European Union Civil Cooperation Council (PeuCET). With the representatives of several nations and countries, we can now act with serious support behind us - stressed the president.
László Csizmadia also reported that CÖF-CÖKA is doing charity again this year, ten tons of fruit will be delivered to 130 social child protection institutions before Christmas.
