There have always been and always will be idiots, the question is whether the immune system of the majority prevents them from being the political initiators, said the President of the Parliament as a guest of the Bayer show.
Today, there are hidden technologies for influencing public opinion that are beyond the scope of a given state. Romania ran into it. A person was the first to run through different algorithms in the depths, which was not even detected on the surface - warned László Kövér on Sunday night in Hír TV's Bayer show.
According to the President of the National Assembly, there was a strong anti-elite agitation in Romanian society, which is how the given candidate won, but "everyone who believes in democracy today must be prepared for the mechanism by which this was brought about." László Kövér believed:
despite the manipulation attempts, there are no signs that Péter Magyar will be able to gain a majority in 2026, but it is now.
"You can already know everything about us and our opponents." No one can excuse himself after 2026 that he did not know what he had chosen. We don't choose representatives, we choose our destiny, he said.
The politician drew attention to the fact that those who will vote in 2026 will include those who were only two years old in 2010, when Fidesz came back to power.
As the Speaker said, he never idolized the West, he considered it a model before the regime change. It was impossible to foresee that it was ruined.
"Even the most skeptical could not have imagined that three decades after the fall of communism, Europe would be what it is," he pointed out. He added: looking back in comparison to this state, even Kádár's last decade seems refreshing in an intellectual sense. László Kövér believed:
there have always been and always will be lunatics, the question is whether the immune system of the majority prevents them from being the political initiators.
According to László Kövér, the majority of people are normal and long for normality, calmness and conflict avoidance prevail in the majority, and until the door is kicked at them, they do not believe that "those idiots can get into any position".
The Speaker put it this way: the West stood on its own feet in a moral and cultural sense as long as there was an external threat.
- Until then, he could quite rightly believe that he was on the good side of history, that he represented traditional humanity, the Ten Commandments, its culture, spirituality, economic efficiency, and human freedom.
This, together with a kind of bourgeois culture, gave the West such stability that at the end of the 1980s we did not consider it an example out of some kind of naivety or illusions, but because we thought it was a workable model. I am convinced that this was it - recalled László Kövér.
According to the president of the parliament, immigrants are now used as a tool by those who want to make Christian societies rootless in a spiritual and cultural sense.
It is up to us whether they will defeat us, Christians, he added.
