"Families with children can count on us, with the strengthening of the economy, they are always the first ones we want to help," said Róbert Zsigó.
Families with children can count on the government, with the strengthening of the economy, they are always the first ones we want to help, said the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation in a video published on the government's Facebook page on Friday.
Róbert Zsigó reminded: as of January 1, thanks to the successful wage agreement, the minimum wage increased to HUF 290,800, while the guaranteed minimum wage increased to HUF 348,800, as a result of which the amount of many family benefits also increased.
The maximum amount of the childcare fee (gyed), the grandparent's fee, and the adoption fee increased from HUF 373,520 to HUF 407,120, he said.
Róbert Zsigó also drew attention to the fact that those who receive a diploma in Geys also receive a higher amount, so those participating in the bachelor's program can expect HUF 203,560 in 2025 instead of last year's HUF 186,760, while master's students can expect HUF 244,160 instead of HUF 228,200.
The allowance has increased to HUF 290,800, while those parents raising their children alone, for whom the state advances the child support fee, can count on more than HUF 87,000 per month, the state secretary listed.
Róbert Zsigó said that the maximum amount of sick pay has also increased, which in 2025 will be more than HUF 19,000 per day.
Those affected will receive increased benefits for the first time in February, it is not necessary to apply for them, as they will increase automatically, the state secretary informed.
He pointed out that the government will also double the family tax allowance in two steps - in July and then next January.
"Families with children can therefore count on us, as the economy strengthens, they are always the first ones we want to help," stressed Róbert Zsigó.
