The president of the republic rejected the baseless attacks and called on the head of the Tisza to respect the constitution.
Head of State Tamás Sulyok responded to the president of the Tisza Party on his social media page on Saturday under the title Everything in its place, asking himself in his post that Péter Magyar is "trying to educate the president of the republic over and over again" about the operation and duties of the public law system.
President Tamás Sulyok, after Péter Magyar called on him in a statement to "give a real presidential speech" that deals with the current state of Hungary, wrote in his post,
the leader of the opposition party repeatedly finds him with the "novel" that the president of the republic's task is to represent the interests of the Hungarian nation at all times.
"With a long list of false statements about me, he believes that I am in arrears with regard to this representation of interests. I did not consider his petty lies about me to be worth mentioning until now, but
I firmly, once and for all, ask myself and the Hungarian state, which I represent on the basis of the Basic Law, to try to educate the president of the republic again and again about the operation of the public law system and the president's duties," said the head of state.
"It is also a basic requirement for elected members of Parliament and politicians aspiring to Parliament that they be aware of the rules of the democratic public law system established by the Basic Law and respect them," reminded the head of state, who, according to
"this ability is the guarantee of avoiding the constitutionally illegitimate and primitively arrogant thrashing of the political public mood".
"I recommend the basic law to those who do not have this ability and therefore provoke the leading public officials elected in accordance with the basic law with baseless, demagogic expectations. Becoming a good-natured and responsible politician can also help," added Tamás Sulyok, who signed his entry as president of the republic and former president of the Constitutional Court.
