The left-wing liberal economic politicians do not believe that Hungary is capable of a performance that can be built on. The solution is always expected from outside, but at the same time, those countries that pursue a patriotic economic policy are seen as saviors. However, Hungarian interests cannot be enforced with such an attitude - said László György, the state secretary responsible for economic strategy and regulation of the ITM.

According to László György, the greatest financial prosperity in the market economy has always been brought about by patriotic economic policy. The countries that were successful were those that considered the interests of their own community and nation as primary. The left-wing liberal economic politicians do not believe that Hungary is capable of a performance that can be built on. The solution is always expected from outside, but at the same time, those countries that pursue a patriotic economic policy are seen as saviors. However, Hungarian interests cannot be asserted with such an attitude.

He explained that since 2010, the government has increased the share of Hungarian ownership in the energy sector from 29 to 59 percent, in the banking sector from 40 to 57 percent, and internationally competitive Hungarian enterprises operate in many areas.

All of this contributed to the fact that in 2020, a country standing on solid foundations could face the epidemic.

In all priority sectors – industry, trade and services – the government strives to help Hungarian-owned companies strengthen and gain market share by complying with EU regulations.

Every country that has its own national interests in mind acts this way - László György pointed out in the Magyar Nemzet article.

This is also the case with knowledge, he added, which is why the development of higher education plays a prominent role in restarting the economy. Thanks to the HUF 1,500 billion development resource, the technological background that is now essential for competitive development is ensured in higher education.

László György, speaking about the programs to help restart the economy, highlighted that the government has decided to support HUF 970 billion in investment since March 2020, which contributes to the realization of almost HUF two thousand billion in development.
