This year's first applications for the Hungarian Village program can be submitted

The government will provide a total of HUF 23 billion for the three calls for tenders available from Wednesday to local governments, associations of local governments, and parishes with permanent residents of five thousand or less.

Local governments can apply for support for the construction and renovation of internal and external roads, bridges, bicycle paths they own, as well as for the renovation of state-owned internal bicycle paths. The amount available for this is HUF 20 billion, and the maximum amount of support that can be applied for is HUF 40 million.

For historical churches, the program offers the opportunity to develop existing and new community spaces, to employ a community organizer, and to purchase equipment related to the programs in a total amount of HUF three billion.

The upper limit of the amount of support that can be applied for is HUF 25 million in the case of creating a community space, and HUF 5 million in the case of employment and asset purchase subsidies.

It is possible to submit applications through the Hungarian State Treasury's electronic interface until April 30, and a decision on the range of beneficiaries will be made within 60 days.

Thanks to the subsidies provided through the Magyar Falu program, the living conditions of the people living in the small settlements are gradually improving, and the population has started to increase in almost 900 settlements - the budget of the program, which is in its third year, exceeds HUF 600 billion.
