The opposition is pro-war - the Civil Solidarity Forum, which is close to the government, launched a new nationwide poster campaign with this message. The posters feature leading opposition politicians.

The News of ATV contacted László Csizmadia, the chairman of the board of trustees of CÖF-CÖKA, his answer is quoted verbatim:

The posters were put up at the suggestion of our intellectual patriots. We are sure and morally indisputable is the fact that the majority of the world's population is in favor of peace.

We believe that the party soldiers shown on the poster are committed supporters of the war and the resulting sanctions.

  • They support the continuous sending of weapons by the EU countries, which causes the escalation of the war.
  • It is beyond motivation for them that innocent people die by the tens of thousands on the battlefields.
  • Hungary would also be dragged into the Russian-Ukrainian war with a dubious outcome in its neighborhood.
  • They ignore the fact that the Hungarian minority in Ukraine is also participating in Ukraine's national defense war.
  • Stopping the war and ending it by diplomatic means with a ceasefire and international cooperation, or signing the peace treaty is not a goal for the opposition.
  • Pro-war politicians support energy-related sanctions that are unfavorable for Hungary and are the source of inflation. By doing so, they create difficulties for our economy, with which they aim to replace the legitimate government.
  • The pro-peace proposal submitted in the parliament was not supported.
  • They are advocating the entry of Europe's military defense alliance, NATO, into the war against the aggressor Russian state, thereby endangering world peace in the event of a possible declaration of war.
  • Since the outbreak of the war, the people on the poster have taken a stand in favor of the war several times.
  • A Peace March in Hungary cannot trigger a cease-fire and the conclusion of a peace treaty.
  • CÖF-CÖKA is happy to organize a Peace March after the peaceful end of the war.
