The official start is on May 9, Europe Day, the anniversary of the Schuman Declaration, but on April 19 in the framework of a press conference - which was held by the Portuguese Ana Paula Zacarias on behalf of the consecutive EU presidency, on behalf of the committee by Dubravka Suica, responsible for democracy, the European Guy Verhofstadt spoke on behalf of Parliament - the discussion platform has already started.

The press conference said that they expect the full participation of European citizens in the debate, promising that it will even be possible to change the contracts, and at the same time it was announced that an online platform has been opened on which EU citizens can post their proposals and communicate with each other. and they can register the events organized in the framework of the discussion.

The platform is located here ,

From the point of view of the platform, there are three forms of participation in the EU debate:
1. simply viewing the opinions and proposals posted on the platform, no registration is required for this; 2. posting your own opinions (registration is required for this) and 3. conducting self-organized events (discussion forums) and sending reports about them, which also requires registration. In the second half of the consultation, starting in June, as a summary of the results up to that point, the European citizens' platforms and the plenary sessions of the conference will be organized , and finally the proposals formed there will be presented to the leadership of the union.

Guy Verhofstadt, the most devoted supporter of federal Europe, is the main promoter of the debate on the future of Europe and one of the key people in its management, so we can have little doubt as to what proposals will come from his hands to the leaders of the union. Nevertheless, I am of the opinion that even those who reject the federal state must make
their voices heard with all their might, put down their own ideas, we cannot cheaply give in to unrealizable phantasmagorias about the future of Europe...

...In general, it can be said that most of the proposals (already uploaded) seemed to me to be much more sane and down-to-earth than the expressions of many European politicians, although in many cases the naivety and the fact that the proposals are completely missing from the debates about the future of Europe that have been going on so far discussing its economic and social prerequisites.

For example, the fact that a federal state envisioned by Guy Verhofstadt requires the centralization of 15-20 percent of GDP , while European citizens - according to my own poll - would offer at most one or two percent of their income for common purposes, net contributor states and even the current one percent is too many.

It is perhaps easiest to start with ideas about immigration, here the vast majority of the ten opinions selected at random out of 68 were against uncontrolled migration and in favor of the strong protection of European borders by Frontex. The most positive opinion towards migrants, which condemned the migration policy of the V4 countries, emphasizes that if migrants are evenly distributed, the 450 million Europeans can integrate ten million immigrants. The rest of the opinions essentially take a stand against the admission of economic migrants, and there are those who emphasize that it must be respected that not all countries are multicultural, a view that, according to Merkel, has also failed, and that the EU should not attack the Visegrad Four for this reason...

...As a Hungarian, it should be mentioned that among the hundred, randomly selected proposals, two Hungarians were included that suggested punishing Hungary. Of these two gems , I would like to quote from Zsuzsanna Szászné Molnár, unfortunately due to lack of space: "Orbán took the people hostage, robbed, bought up the country... the benefits intended for Hungary from EU citizens' taxes... if he gets to Orbán, he will steal them . He does not respect the signed EU treaty, he tramples on human rights... he won the elections with blackmail and bribery... Please punish him severely for destroying democracy and the rule of law, for taking away our human rights. Thanks." Out of the hundred, there was not one that suggested punishing his own country or its political leaders, this seems to be a Hungarian peculiarity.

It is my opinion that this debate should be closely monitored, because the proposed proposals, which in the end will amount to a few thousand per topic and tens of thousands in total, will well characterize the politicizing public opinion of Europe, whose knowledge can be well used against the current cultural Marxist trend to organize a significant number of EU parliamentary groups proposing an alternative.

We ourselves must submit a professionally supported position on all the important issues that arise, and we must at least achieve the goal that the proposals formed in this way reach as many EU citizens as possible.
