The Rákóczi Association announces an unusual student travel tender for Hungarian and foreign high school class communities in connection with the National Solidarity Day on June 4 and the National Year of New Beginnings.

The aim of the competition is for as many high school class communities as possible to visit locations related to decisive events in Hungarian history as part of domestic field trips in accordance with the epidemiological regulations.

In the application, a travel grant of HUF 300,000 can be won. The condition of the application is that a historical memorial site must be marked and visited during the trip, which is closely related to a defining event of Hungarian history in the 20th century.

The Rákóczi Association entrusts the selection of 20th-century historical monuments to the travelers, which may be related to the First World War, the loss of the country at Trianon, the Holocaust, the Second World War, the victims of the Nazi and Communist dictatorships, 1956 and the displacements, among others. The application can be submitted electronically on the website of the Rákóczi Association at any time from April 27 to May 24, 2021.

The Association evaluates the requests received weekly in order to organize and conduct the excursion as efficiently as possible. Field trips can be carried out in accordance with the current epidemiological regulations.
