Matters related to the protection card can be dealt with at government offices without making an appointment, koronavirus.gov.hu announced on Monday.

It was written on the government portal: more than 4.2 million protection cards have been produced so far, and the documents will be automatically delivered to those who have been vaccinated and those who have been confirmed to have been infected with the coronavirus. If the ID card does not arrive or the data on it needs to be clarified, you can make a report electronically on the magyarorszag.hu website or in person at the government offices. Since May 3, the latter can be visited without prior appointment for the purpose of administration related to the protection card, they informed.

Issuing and mailing the protection certificates is an unprecedentedly complex logistical task, as is the case with the vaccination program, so far 3.6 million documents have been issued for the vaccinated and more than 660 thousand for those who have been infected. If the protection certificate does not arrive to the holder, citizens with a customer portal can make a report electronically by selecting the Health menu item at www.magyarorszag.hu The replacement or replacement of the document can also be initiated on this page or in person, they explained.

In every case, the government office investigates why the protection certificate did not arrive, whether the client chose electronic notification or personal administration. The office checks whether the vaccination certificate has been completed, where it was delivered, and arranges for the production of the card in the event of a replacement, but cards are not issued in government windows, delivery is always made by post, they wrote.

Those who have been vaccinated can check themselves whether the fact of the vaccination was recorded in the Electronic Health Service Space (EESZT), which is important because the ID card can only be produced on the basis of the data recorded at the vaccination point. This is possible through the EESZT's public portal https://www.eeszt.gov.hu/ . If the fact that the vaccination was administered does not appear in the system even days later, the vaccinated person can ask the vaccination center or family doctor to record the data, the announcement reads.

Anyone who has received at least their first vaccination or who has been confirmed to have been infected with the coronavirus is entitled to a health certificate. The free document will be mailed automatically.

In the case of those who have been vaccinated, the card has no expiry date, while the immunity card obtained by recovering from an infection is valid for 6 months after recovery. It is also possible to issue an identity card for those who are unknowingly infected. They can request the document in person or via the www.magyarorszag.hu for HUF 3,000, as well as by presenting a finding issued by an accredited laboratory that proves the presence of a protective substance against the coronavirus in the affected person's body. In this case, the validity of the card is four months after the date of the test showing the presence of the antibody, they wrote on the government portal.
