The advantage of the Fidesz-KDNP has increased according to a poll by the Nézőpont Institute, six out of ten are satisfied with the work of the prime minister, Magyar Nemzet wrote on Monday.

According to last week's nationally representative survey, the advantage of the governing parties (40 percent) over the left (34 percent) increased to 6 percentage points among the entire adult population.

The reorganization was explained by the success of vaccinations: 58 percent of Hungarians are satisfied with the work of the prime minister in charge of defense.
Only every third person (35 percent) criticizes the Prime Minister's activities.

Similarly, a high satisfaction index occurs in few European countries after a year of protection against the coronavirus epidemic

they noted. Satisfaction with Viktor Orbán's work even increased compared to the pre-pandemic data (by 4 percentage points), although last spring's outstanding value (72 percent) can hardly be repeated, they wrote.

The poll measured the weakening of the left-wing list. Compared to March, the support of the governing parties increased by 2 percentage points (to a value similar to January), while the left lost 3 percentage points.

The left has not been so weak since the declaration of the joint departure,

which " can be explained by the anti-vaccination image that developed despite the success of vaccinations ", they said.

In addition to the entire population, party preference was also examined among active voters. Next year, you can expect a competition between two large party lists, Fidesz currently leads with 51 percent. The left-wing joint list "this Sunday" would receive 43 percent, but another 6 percent of active voters are also dissatisfied with the government's work. Among them, the voters of the Kétfarkú Kutya party (2 percent) and the Mi Hazánk Mozgalom (3 percent) can be identified.

The opinion poll of the Nézőpont Institute was conducted on April 27-28. between 1000 people by telephone. The sample is representative of the population over the age of 18 according to gender, age, region, type of settlement and educational level. In the case of a sample size of 1,000 people and a 95 percent confidence level, the sampling error is 3.16 percent, reads Magyar Nemzet.
