For the first time in Europe, Hungary achieved the fact that there is enough vaccine to vaccinate all the people who ask for it, stated Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó after meeting with the Hungarian CEO of Pfizer. He added: if Pfizer had not delivered, we would certainly not be in this situation.

The contract with the company is for 10.8 million vaccines, and the 20th shipment has already arrived, with 334,000 vaccines. This brings the total number of vaccines delivered by Pfizer to Hungary to 2.8 million. As a result, most of the vaccines in the country today came from Pfizer, he said.

He emphasized that Pfizer also plays a major role in vaccinating young people. Adequate supplies are being reserved to vaccinate those between 16 and 18 years of age, and they are awaiting scientific opinions on the possible possibility of vaccinating people younger than 16 years of age. They will act as the scientific profession decides, he said.

The minister said: they visited the company's representative office in Hungary to express their appreciation and thanks to all the company's employees. Since December 26 of last year, everyone has been working hard to ensure that a large amount of vaccine arrives in Hungary.

Pfizer has agreed to speed up its deliveries in the EU, so 4.6 million doses of vaccine can arrive in Hungary during the second quarter.
Nearly 1.3 million in May, and another 2.2 million in June, he listed, adding that deliveries will continue in the third quarter as well. This really makes it possible to vaccinate the 16-18 year olds as well.
