The citizens of Újbuda are angry with Imre László - we wrote a few days ago about the fact that the citizens of Kelenföld grumbled about the construction of a corner lot located in Újbuda, at the intersection of Ulászló-Kökörcsin-Zsombolyai streets.

The municipality led by the mayor of DK would erect two much higher buildings between the existing three-story buildings instead of the current one-story building. The residents are dissatisfied, because the left-wing leadership, while claiming that the district is overbuilt, is itself eliminating green areas.

The Facebook group formed by civilians mobilized with posters, bombarded the deputy mayor with their request and hoped that it turned out that there was a chance to change the plan, since one-third of the plot is state property and the property manager handed it over to the municipality for use, not for sale. On the property sheet requested by the Facebook group, a prohibition on alienation until 2030 is registered.

Well, as Vasarnap.hu wrote, in addition to the protests of the civilians, the municipal representative of the district, Máté Kreitler-Sas of , also opposed the construction of the area of the former lung care and midwifery institute. Not long after the XI. district Momentum also joined the opponents of the installation. István Simicskó , Újbuda member of parliament, wrote a letter to mayor Imre László against the development of the area

In the end, based on the principle of many geese, the mayor called for a retreat. The mayor of DK announced that he would give up on the construction of the corner lot and declared the tender for it invalid.
