New rules will come into effect after Hungary has reached the 5 million vaccination mark. Thanks to the vaccination, we defeated the third wave of the epidemic, but epidemiological preparedness is still justified, because the virus makes those who are not vaccinated ill. According to the decree published in the Magyar Közlöny, most of the new rules will enter into force on Sunday.

More than 50 percent of Hungarians are already protected, and the vaccination rate in Hungary is the second highest in Europe. Today, Hungary is more protected and safer from an epidemiological point of view than its neighbors or any Western European country.

WHEN FIVE MILLION ARE VACCINATED, MOST OF THE EPIDEMIOLOGICAL RESTRICTIONS CAN ALREADY BE REMOVED.

However, gradualism is still justified, which is why restrictions remain, from which only the vaccinated and protected are exempted, they wrote on the government's official website, kormany.hu.

With the approval of the operative body, after five million people have been vaccinated, the following rules will come into effect by Sunday:

with some exceptions, the curfew is over,

it is not mandatory to wear a mask and keep your distance in public areas,

curfew between midnight and 5 a.m. according to the current rules will be abolished

the obligation to close at 11 o'clock in the evening for shops, catering establishments and leisure facilities will be abolished.

It was highlighted: the wearing of masks will not be mandatory in the inner territory of the settlements, and even in settlements with more than 10,000 people, the mayors cannot separately regulate the use of masks in public areas. The one and a half meter distance rule and all restrictions on individual and team sports will also be abolished in public areas.

However, the distance of one and a half meters and the mandatory wearing of masks will remain in shopping centers for the time being. The 16-18 age group can go to restaurants and cinemas without supervision, for example, if they have a protection card.

THE USE OF A MASK IS MANDATORY WHEREVER PROTECTED AND UNPROTECTED CAN MEET IN CLOSED SPACE, INCLUDING PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND SHOPS.
