The Consulate General of Hungary in Ungvár hosted the "5 countries 1 river" program, a very important and growing issue.

The initiating organization, the Műanyag Műhely, held a presentation, a whole day session for the children of Ungvár. During the event, the organizers Zsolt Tamás and Attila Molnár presented the various options for recycling plastic waste. The groups of elementary school children tried out the presented recycled objects one after the other - from pens and rulers to flutes - so hopefully everyone left the event enriched with new knowledge.

Consul General József Buhajla said: "It is our duty to preserve this river in its natural state. In some cases, 100 tons of various plastic elements arrive at Tiszán, which we would like to reuse . Environmental protection, environmental awareness, and waste management are very important in the lives of all of us, because if we ignore all of this, we will have nothing to pass on to future generations."

An encouraging announcement was also made: Hungary had a waste processing plant built in Makkosjánosi.
