10, mostly elderly, chronic patients died, and another 57 Hungarian citizens were diagnosed with the coronavirus, koronavirus.gov.hu announced on Tuesday, highlighting that 5,351,972 people have been vaccinated in Hungary so far, of which 4,240,264 have already received the second they also received a dose of vaccine.
It was written on the government portal: the number of infected people identified in Hungary has increased to 807,102. The number of those who died rose to 29,935, and those who recovered rose to 731,626.
The number of active infected people is 45,541. 391 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospitals, 44 of them are on ventilators.
There are 5,182 people in official home quarantine, the number of samples has increased to 5,996,016.
They pointed out that thanks to vaccinations and protective measures, the third wave of the epidemic was defeated, and that Hungary is still second in the EU vaccination rankings.
