The law concerning homosexuals does not apply to those over 18, adults can live as they want, but children must be protected. Prime Minister Viktor Orbán announced to Rádió Kossuth Good morning, Hungary! in an interview with his show.

Regarding the pedophile law, the Prime Minister said that he does not consider homosexuals to be discriminated against. He reminded that the law does not apply to those over 18, adults can live as they want, but children must be protected. The sexual education of children belongs exclusively to the parents, no one can take this right away from them, said the prime minister. Viktor Orbán stated that it should not happen that any institution educates its children in a different way compared to the parents' ideas, and that the government must also respect the parents' rights.

Anyone who does not vaccinate is a potentially serious patient

In terms of vaccinations, we have an advantage of one and a half to two months compared to other countries of the Union and we are also in the lead in the reopening of the country, but there are still three million people who have not been vaccinated, which puts us somewhere between the Germans and the Romanians, said Viktor Orbán.

The prime minister said that the Germans are confident that they will be able to surpass the Hungarian vaccination rate over time, while the Romanians have no chance of doing so. Viktor Orbán repeated that the three million people who have not been vaccinated will likely get sick, so he asked everyone to take the vaccine.

The Prime Minister said that according to experts, there is a good chance that the vaccinated are protected against the mutations known so far, but we cannot know what the future will bring. "We have to come to terms with the fact that those who do not vaccinate themselves are potentially seriously ill," said Viktor Orbán.

In general, any effort that reduces the flexibility of the economy worsens competitiveness. For example, Hungary has ten million people. If we only produced for them, the standard of living would be lower. We are competitive because we not only produce food for these ten million people, but we can also supply others, cheaper, better and more reliably. Anything that affects this negatively, such as the tax that Brussels is planning, will reduce this ability. We cannot accept this. The encouraging future ahead of us is ensured by the Hungarian tax system,

what Brussels is planning is poison for the Hungarian economy

said the prime minister.

It would be nice if we were the lenders and not the borrowers. This is where Viktor Orbán wants to take the country. For this, the balance sheet should show a surplus and the national debt should be zero. This is not a realistic goal in the coming years. Now we also had to contend with a global pandemic.

According to many liberal economists, the national debt must be reduced and reserves created now, Viktor Orbán does not share this. According to him, it is now necessary to return the tax paid through economic growth, to raise the minimum wage, so now

it is a period of restoration, not of reserve.

We must look for the opportunity in the unified Hungarian nation to involve people in as many issues as possible, to listen to their opinions. There is a public mood according to which we have defeated the virus, but this does not mean that everything is going the same way as before, he emphasized.

If the future will be different from the period before the epidemic, new challenges will come, and the country must be strengthened. It is important to reach an agreement on what the basic pillars should be for this.

There are two big issues on the table at next week's summit in Brussels. One is, should they take over the migrants accepted by the southerners? According to Hungary, this is not a good direction. Migration is bad because it means that people cannot prosper where they were born. This is not a regular order. The goal is not to bring them here, but to return them to where they came from as soon as possible. Their problems must be solved there, and it must be helped so that everyone can go back to where they were born.

Afghanistan and Mali should be the first to stop the wave of immigrants. They then cross the Mediterranean Sea and then through Serbia, the third line of defense. Our fourth line of defense is the Serbian-Hungarian border, which must be protected. That is why we took on a role in NATO.

We do not make unauthorized appearances in various parts of the world, but protect Hungarian interests

said Viktor Orbán.

He added that another big issue at the Brussels summit is the cost of climate protection. According to the government's opinion, polluters should pay for this, not Hungarian families.
