In the ports of the Danube Bend, cultural events await visitors on the weekends for more than two months until the end of August, Eszter Vitályos, State Secretary responsible for European Union development policy of the Ministry of Human Resources, Bence Rétvári, Emmi and Pál Völner, State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice announced at a joint press conference on Monday in Visegrád .

Eszter Vitályos said that the 300 billion Kisfaludy Tourism Development Program includes the quality development of accommodation, which can strengthen tourism's income-generating capacity.

He added that a lot of development is also taking place in the Visegrád area, for example, the services of the Nagyvillam ski slope are being renewed, a thematic playground is being built on Mogyoró Mountain, and car panoramic points are being created. 15 water tour stops in Budapest and Pest county from Szob to Dömsöd have been renewed.

Bence Rétvári, who is also the region's KDNP parliamentary representative, said that last year the Danube Bend boat tours launched jointly with MAHART PassNave had 120,000 passengers. This program has been expanded this year by offering cultural programs in every port until the end of August, every weekend.

He added that an important part of the restart after the coronavirus epidemic in Hungary is the restart of culture, which is why next year's budget includes a HUF 16 billion surplus for the cultural area.

State Secretary Pál Völner, the region's other parliamentarian, spoke about how, in addition to tourism development programs, the region is also one of the major beneficiaries of rural development subsidies. He added that among the events lasting more than two months, you can find introductions of local bands and performers from far away.
