The differences in political opinion between the population in the countryside and in the capital are significant, according to a recent public opinion poll. The majority of people in the countryside (55 percent) are satisfied with the work of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, while in the capital, the dissatisfied make up the same majority, according to the latest Real-PR 93 survey.

We regularly experience in the parliamentary and local government elections that there are fundamental differences in the results between the capital and rural Hungary, reminds Real-PR 93., according to which this is also supported by the current survey, in which they examined how people feel About the work of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, and how they judge the government's measures against illegal border crossings and its family policy.

"The assessment of the prime minister's work shows exactly the opposite picture in the capital and in the countryside, the majority of the latter (55 percent) evaluate it positively, only 38 percent negatively, while among the former we can see the exact opposite, with 37 percent positive against 55 percent negative opinion. Although the occurrence of the positive extreme value in both groups is 17-19 percent, there is already a significant difference in the opposing opinions, only 18 percent of rural residents are completely dissatisfied with Viktor Orbán's work, in Budapest this proportion is almost twice as large (32 percent), the analysis points out.

It is positive information from the government's point of view that regardless of the place of residence, the majority is satisfied with the measures related to illegal migration and family policy, but significant differences can be seen, in the countryside the number of positive evaluations is 77 percent for the former topic and 66 percent for the latter, whereas in the capital, this is the case with regard to illegal border crossings 15 percent, and 9 percent less in terms of family policy.

"Let's note that in some policy topics the support for the measures in Budapest is greater than the recognition of Viktor Orbán's work as prime minister, so quite a few residents of the capital support the measures given by the government despite the fact that they have a negative opinion of the prime minister, " Real-PR 93 points out.
