There is no reason to call a meeting of the National Security Committee, the national security bodies in Hungary fully comply with the laws and always act in accordance with the law during their operations, the Fidesz faction told MTI on Monday.
János Halász, the Fidesz vice-chairman of the National Security Committee of the Parliament, emphasized in the statement that the leaders of the Ministry of the Interior regularly report to the competent committees of the Parliament on the information-gathering activities of the secret services, in which all parliamentary parties are represented.
"The news published in the left-wing press are unfounded and serve only to create a political mood," the ruling party politician stated.
He emphasized that the national security agencies are still expected to protect Hungary's security and legitimate interests with all legal means.
